Rental Property Management Made Easier

Join Roberta and Mark for 2.5 days of residential rental property management training.  The days are set up under the 3 main areas of property management: acquisition, rehab for rental and rental property management.

Like a 3-legged stool, success with investment properties is much easier when all the legs are utilized to their fullest.  Success is possible with only 1 or 2 legs on the stool, but requires more concentration.

Acquisition:  Join us on Friday afternoon to learn various ways that investors analyze properties.  Time will be spent on your specific goals so that you can better pinpoint your investment goals and needs.  We look at the 5 ways to make money with investment property.  There are 4 basic types of properties that investors purchase.  We'll look at putting a financing plan in place, finding the properties and making offers.  You'll develop your business plan so that you have a clearer picture of the types of properties you're looking for.  Building a team of professionals is important in any business plan and we look at that too.

Rehab for Rental:  On Saturday, we'll learn to look at a property as a money making machine.  Lots of rehab materials are looked at, the pros and cons of many of them, resources to purchase materials, the amenities that renters look for.  The class will actually visit several houses to look at the rehab plans live.  Emphasis is placed on how to minimize costs and maximize profits.

Rental Property Management:  On Sunday, we'll cover an overview of the rental process from advertising, fair housing laws and finding a prospective resident, the application and screening process, setting expectations and boundaries with your residents and developing your business plan and rules and policies.  Lots of time is spent on developing an effective screening process to find and retain the best residents for your properties.

You will get copies of many of the forms that we've developed over the last 20 years and are currently using in our business.
